The position

Your life lives on the web.
Name those sites and docs and apps the way you want. Not what some page's <title> tag says. Not what the app's marketing department picked. jira. prod dash. that spreadsheet.
Browser bookmarks are 30 years of stupidity. Folders inside folders inside a menu inside a browser. Synced to an account. Sorted by nobody. Found by no one.
Launchers with their own doc and workflow types are mini crappy operating systems bolted onto yours. You already have an operating system. It already knows how to open a file.
Speed is everything.

How it works

Two keys. One folder.

⌥I

Save. Copy a URL, press it, type a name. You get a .webloc file. Does nothing at all unless there's a URL on the clipboard, so mash it freely.

⌥U

Open. A box drops down. Type a few letters. Fuzzy match against the file names. Return opens the top hit, exactly like a double-click in the Finder.

Things we will not be fixing

Only works on macOS.

Swift, AppKit, Carbon hotkeys. There is no Windows version. There is no Linux version. There is no plan.

Two hard-coded global shortcuts.

⌥U and ⌥I. They probably conflict with something you're running. Keybam will tell you at launch. Then it's your problem.

One hard-coded folder.

~/conflocal/urls. Flat. No subfolders. Not configurable. If you want it somewhere else, that's what symlinks are for.

No backend. No prefs. No anything.

No account, no sync, no database, no settings window, no menu bar icon, no Dock icon. It's a folder of macOS shortcut files. Finder can read them. So can you.
